The Safety Committee is comprised a representative from almost every department within Douglas County.  The committee helps sponsor the annual Health and Safety Fair for county employees and works to promote safety on the job throughout Douglas County.

The committee meets bi-monthly. They review workers' compensation claims and possible safety issues countywide.  They assist in recommendations for fund distribution on safety related issues.

The Safety Committee is responsible for annual inspections of all county buildings and many county departments.  Training is also recommended through the Safety Committee.
